27-29 april 2012: Youth Perspectives 2012

Concept:

Youth Perspectives is a conference aimed at giving young adults the opportunity to exchange their points of view, negotiate contrasting perspectives, elaborate a common position and then develop a sustainable solution for various issues surrounding the environment. This will be a great opportunity to be in contact with people from different parts of Switzerland, Europe and the whole world, all of whom share the same concerns.

At the end of the third day, each committee will adopt a final report, which will be further voted upon by the “Youth Perspectives General Assembly”, composed of all participants, thus legitimizing the outcome document. Due to the fact that GIMUN benefits from Special Consultative Status within the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), this outcome document will be circulated within UN and NGO networks; our work has the potential for significant impact beyond our conference.
