Enter into a conversation with Maurice Strong, one of the most prominent Sustainable Development's "father"

"If the world succeeds in making a transition to truly sustainable development, all of us will owe no small debt of gratitude to Maurice Strong, whose prescience and dynamic presence on the International stage have played a key role in convincing governments and grassroots alike to embrace the principle - if not yet the practice - of adopting a new, long-term, custodial approach to the global environment." --- Kofi Annan former UN secretary General

SUSTAINEO 2030: Learning Sustainable Development from the Future

Today we understand sustainable development to be the great challenge of the 21st century.

Member states of the United Nations and stakeholders globally are currently mobilizing to establish the Post-2015 Development Agenda. This includes developing a set of new global goals to succeed the Millennium Development
Goals (MDGs) once they expire at the end of 2015.

We present the Sustaineo 2030 scenario in order to explore which governance structures could ensure the mainstreaming of sustainable development as a guiding principle in politics, business and society. Sustaineo is not a parallel universe
in which technology and social systems have been invented entirely anew. On the contrary; it is based on actual experiences in real situations that have been examined as part of a global study and presented in the form of a narrative.
